Advantages of Ground Radar

Ground Radar provides a non-intrusive and non-destructive method of surveying the Subsurface and Concrete Imaging. Not only is Ground Radar a highly cost effective non-disruptive technique, it is also a rapid means of obtaining subsurface information. It's many advantages include:

  • Metallic and non-metallic utilities can be detected.
  • GPR is non-disruptive and benign making it safe for use in public spaces.
  • Surveys can be completed quickly, thus are more cost-effective. Large areas can be surveyed in a day.
  • Only single-sided access is needed making it ideal for surveying floors, walls, decks, slabs, tunnels and balconies.
  • GPR can provide a high-resolution continuous survey data that can be interpreted qualitatively, in real time.
  • Faster, safer and lower cost than radiography (X-ray).
  • The combined software utilisation of post-processing filters, small survey paths and the 3-D function enables a clear interpretation and presentation.
  • The final report is user-friendly. This affords the client an understanding of the investigation results that can be presented at an in-house level.
